Subfields of Psychology

Psychology is an ever-evolving field. While the American Psychological Association (APA) now recognizes 53 separate divisions of psychology, new subfields are continually emerging. If you are interested in a career in psychology, take stock of your interests and future career goals. Do you want to conduct research, teach at the college level, work with clients, or find solutions to real-world problems? Before you decide, consider various career paths and learn more about some of the different subfields of psychology.
