Freud's Stages of Psychosexual Development

Sigmund Freud's stages of psychosexual development is one of the best known personality theories, but also one of the most controversial. According to Freud, personality develops through a series of childhood stages during which pleasure-seeking energies become focused on certain erogenous areas.
