How Much Money Do Psychologists Earn?

Among psychologists, earnings and salaries vary greatly depending upon factors such as specialty area, the degree held and the sector of employment. According to the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook, median earnings for psychologists in 2002 were $51,170. Wow, I’m a psychologist in Denmark, employed by what equals the county (usually not the well payed compared to private business) and I make close to $75,000. I may be above Danish average income for psychologists, but not much!

I always thought American professional wages were higher than Danish ones…
